Star-formation in hostile environments; galaxy clusters and groups.

Jonathan Hernandez-Fernandez

Universidade de São Paulo

I will show an overview about the effects of the galaxy environment in the galaxy evolution. Also, we will talk about the trends and the relation between star-formation activity and gas stripping in the Cluster Projected Phase-Space (CPPS) i.e. normalized cluster-frame l-o-s velocitiy vs. normalized projected radius and other results from Hernandez-Fernandez et al. 2014. Furthermore, I will show the updated observations and results for a sample of Compact Groups of Star-forming Galaxies (CGSFG) recently identified in the UV GALEX catalogues.
