The 

Featuring 3 000- km-   long large and hot orogen, the Mantiqueira Province provides a rare opportunity to study the process of gravitational collapse at mid to deep crustal levels.  Distinct  but  contemporary  (~500 Ma) post-collisional intrusions show struc-tures and anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) fabrics related to their em-placements,  recording  different  flow  patterns.  In  southern  deep-seated  intrusions,  ellipsoidal-shaped  roots  with  gabbroic-to-  hybrid  cores  surrounded  by  granitic  rocks  show concentric patterns of AMS fabrics that cut across the NE-trend

The multicomponent seismic presents a more complex wave field than the conventional seismic, for this reason it has been used in seismic survey. For the offshore situations, there is the necessity of use OBN (Ocean Bottom Nodes) technology to obtain S wave informations.

The reservoirs of the pre-salt from Santos Basin have been a challenge to the offshore multicomponent seismic processing since they were discovered. However the challenge can become even greater when the reservoir presents a peculiarity as a thin salt layer what generate an even more complex reflection event.
