We are excited to invite you to participate in the Digital Earths Global Hackathon - São Paulo Node, which will take place at the Institute of Energy and Environment (IEE), University of São Paulo (USP), from May 12 to 17, 2025.
Registration is open until April 4, 2025. Travel support will be provided by the WCRP to a limited number of participants from outside São Paulo.
Participants will engage in hands-on activities, including expert-led lectures, simulation analysis, and collaborative problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

Who should apply:
We are seeking expert researchers, graduate students, early-career scientists, and specialists in climate model analysis from South America. Participants should have prior knowledge of Linux systems and experience with commonly used software for handling large datasets, such as Python, Jupyter, CDO, and R.
This event is part of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) Global km-Scale Hackathon, an initiative aimed at advancing high-resolution Earth-system modeling through collaborative data analysis, visualization, and innovation. Learn more about the initiative here: WCRP km-Scale Hackathon 2025.
