Mosaic: the multi-object spectrograph for the ESO Extremely Large Telescope

O MOSAIC is a multi-object spectrograph for the ESO (European Southern Observatory) Extremely Large Telescope.

Brazil participates in the MOSAIC consortium through a project based at IAG, funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (Processo FAPESP 20/15245-2), for the development and assembly of the fiber optic system and the spectrograph slit. The partnership also includes scientists from France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, as well as collaborators from other European countries.
