ABERTURA DE INSCRIÇÕES AO CONCURSO PÚBLICO DE TÍTULOS E PROVAS VISANDO O PROVIMENTO DE 01 (UM) CARGO DE PROFESSOR DOUTOR NO DEPARTAMENTO DE ASTRONOMIA DO INSTITUTO DE ASTRONOMIA, GEOFÍSICA E CIÊNCIAS ATMOSFÉRICAS DA UNIVERSIDADE DE SÃO PAULO
O Diretor do Instituto de Astronomia, Geofísica e Ciências Atmosféricas da Universidade de São Paulo (IAG/USP) torna público a todos os interessados que, de acordo com o decidido pela Congregação em sessão de 19/06/2024, estarão abertas, pelo prazo de 90 (noventa) dias, com início às 08 horas (horário de Brasília) do dia 02/07/2024 e término às 17 horas (horário de Brasília) do dia 30/09/2024, as inscrições ao concurso público de títulos e provas para provimento de 01 (um) cargo de Professor Doutor, referência MS-3, em Regime de RDIDP, claro/cargo nº 1245392, com o salário de R$ 15.498,97 (maio/2024), junto ao Departamento Astronomia, na área de conhecimento Astronomia, Especialidade: Ciências Planetárias, nos termos do art. 125, parágrafo 1º, do Regimento Geral da USP, e o respectivo programa que segue:
AGA0502 Planetas e Sistemas Planetários - 1) A esfera Celeste; 2) Dinâmica e movimento dos planetas; 3) Origem e estrutura; 4) Planetologia comparada; 5) Planetas terrestres; 6) Planetas gigantes; 7) Magnetosferas planetárias e o meio interplanetário; 8) Atmosferas planetárias; 9) Superfícies planetárias; 10) Interiores planetários; 11) Corpos pequenos; 12) Objetos transnetunianos; 13) Formação de planetas e sistemas planetários; 14) Planetas extrasolares; 15) O Sol.
AGA0106 Astronomia de Posição - 1) Cinemática Celeste. Esfera Celeste; Sistemas de Coordenadas; Escalas de Medida de Tempo; Calendários; Precessão e Nutação; Refração Atmosférica; Movimento próprio de Estrela, Paralaxe estelar e Aberração da Luz. 2) Astronomia Clássica: Cosmografia Histórica; Movimento Elíptico da Terra; Leis de Kepler e Determinação de Distâncias no Sistema Solar; Paralaxe Trigonométrica.
O concurso será regido pelos princípios constitucionais, notadamente o da impessoalidade, bem como pelo disposto no Estatuto e no Regimento Geral da Universidade de São Paulo e no Regimento do IAG/USP.

OPENING FACULTY POSITION IN THE DEPARTAMENTO DE ASTRONOMIA OF THE INSTITUTO DE ASTRONOMIA, GEOFISICA E CIÊNCIAS ATMOSFÉRICAS, UNIVERSIDADE DE SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL
The Dean of the Instituto de Astronomia, Geofísica e Ciências Atmosféricas da Universidade de São Paulo (IAG/USP), Brazil, announces the opening of a faculty position (position No. 1245392, full-time dedication service), in the Departamento de Astronomia, in the field of Astronomy, Specialty Planetary Sciences. Interested applicants should hold a Ph.D. The position requires a commitment to teaching and the ability to conduct independent research. Applications will be accepted between July 2nd, 2024, at 8 a.m., to September 30th, 2024, at 5 p.m. (GMT -3). The entry-level annual salary (MS3 level) is R$ 201.486,61 plus benefits.
The exams can be performed in Portuguese or English and will cover the following disciplines:
AGA0502 Planets and Planetary Systems: 1) The Celestial Sphere; 2) Dynamics and Motion of Planets; 3) Origin and Structure; 4) Comparative Planetology; 5) Terrestrial Planets; 6) Giant Planets; 7) Planetary Magnetospheres and the Interplanetary Medium; 8) Planetary Atmospheres; 9) Planetary Surfaces; 10) Planetary Interiors; 11) Small Bodies; 12) Trans-Neptunian Objects; 13) Formation of Planets and Planetary Systems; 14) Exoplanets; 15) The Sun.
AGA0106 Positional Astronomy: 1) Celestial Kinematics. Celestial Sphere; Coordinate Systems; Time Measurement Scales; Calendars; Precession and Nutation; Atmospheric Refraction; Proper Motion of Stars, Stellar Parallax, and Aberration of Light. 2) Classical Astronomy: Historical Cosmography; Elliptical Motion of Earth; Kepler's Laws and Determination of Distances in the Solar System; Trigonometric Parallax.
The contest will be ruled by Brazilian constitutional principles, notably that of impersonality, as well as by the provisions of the Statute and General Regulations of the Universidade de São Paulo and the Regulations of IAG/USP.
